Day 2 Review of my braid out results using Eco Styler Gel

This is just another Review of my Braid out using the Eco Styler Gel. Yesterday when I used it , my hair was damp and it frizzed out. so last nite I re braided my hair and put a little more of the Eco Styler in my hair and this morning when I took my braids outs it was soooo curly and tight my hair was beautiful . I will Definitely be using this as apart of my normal routine now . so If you guys Don't know about the Eco Styler Gel , now u know, go out and get some it doesn't flake my hair up and it makes my hair feel so soft.

My Results Using The Eco Styler Gel

This was the first time that I did a braid out using the Eco Styler gel . And actually my hair was still very damp when I took it out and the back of my hair actually frizzed out . The front looked so defined and then when u go to the back it looked like a disaster. lol . I will be trying it again on dry hair. I think I just needed to put more gel to make it last. but over all I did like it. This is a pic of how my hair looked after hours of taking out the braids . Tell me what u guys think !!

Quick simple Spring look

This is just a very quick spring look , I was getting ready to go to work and needed a simple look. I actually used pressed powder that I got out of a makeup chest that I bought last year. I hardly use foundation and powder on my face so I thought that would be a great way to actually use it. the colors are the same as my skin tone and they barely show u just see a little of bit of glitter and to top of the look I Lined my upper and lower lash line. I hope u guys like this look !!

Gold and Turquoise Look

I put a gold base all over my lid then blended it out then I used a gold eyeshadow from the wet and wild pallet "I got good Jeans" then I used two different turquoise on the outer lid and the crease. The two I used was from cover girl tropical fusion palette and then a darker turquoise from "LA Colors" on the outer crease , I also Used a dark matte brown above the crease to blend out the colors . I used a lime green just on my brow bone as a highlight. I repeated the gold on the inner half of the lower lash line and the dark turquoise on the rest of the outer lash line . and for a pop of color I put the lighter turquoise on the tear duct. Lined my upper lash line with a little wing and lined my water line.

Pre Pooing Your Hair with Gold castor oil and Cantu Shea Butter Conditioner

I used the Cantu Shea butter rinse out conditioner with the Jamaican gold Castor oil , and I left it on my hair for about 3 hours and then I went in the shower and rinsed it out then shampooed my hair . My hair has never felt so soft and manageable . Pre Pooing is a good way to protect your hair before you shampoo it, simply because shampoo strips your hair of its natural oils, by you pre pooing your hair is a good way to moisturize your hair and letting the oils and conditioner sink in your roots and the ends of your hair . If you have never pre pooed give it a try I guarantee your hair will feel revitalized !

Hair Update !

This is just a hair update , Since I started my transition , Ive been using Cantu Shea butter and the Organics Olive oil brands. I must say my hair feels sooo healthy and It looks healthy too. I will be doing a tutorial on the Cantu Shea butter leave in conditioner and rinse out deep conditioner . I'm loving this look and I'm feeling good about it. My hair is definitely coming back to the way it use to be, and I can't wait !!

Out Of This World !!

This is a very Dramatic look and I wouldn't recommend this as a daytime look. I used silver on the inner half of my lid and then turquoise on the rest of the lid , then I did a dramatic winged out look using navy blue , blended all colors together and then lined the lash line with another dramatic wing. I repeated the steps for the lower lash line and then lined my water line. I hope you guys like it !!

How Often do Naturals Wash Their Hair??

Being that my hair is super long and thick , I wash my hair once a week. Some people wash their hair every day, every other day, or some wash their hair every other week. To tell you the truth there is no specific time on how often you should wash you hair. If you want to wash it everyday that is fine it doesn't mean that your drying out your hair as long as you deep condition and moisturize your hair often ,your hair should stay healthy. but once again that depends on you cause the same thing goes for washing your hair every other week as long as you moisturize your hair should be fine. It will be dirty but it should be fine ,LOL. Me personally once a week works good for me , I work 5days a week sometimes more than 8 hours and I come home late everyday . If I was to wash it everyday because my hair is so thick and long It would never dry. So my point is do whatever works for you!

Summer Orange Eyeshadow look

This pic does not give the look justice , I used a orange metallic color on the lid and the same color on the lower line. lined my upper lash line with a little wing and lined my waterline . I also did a tutorial but it was too long to post,  I'm working on getting that perfected .

Silver and Black Smokey Eye

So I did my colleagues makeup today when I got to work and she said that she wanted a smokey eye and I thought she would look so fierce with a silver smokey eye. So on the lid she has silver and on the outer V I put black to smoke it out . and repeated the steps for the lower lash line , also lined her water line. She loved it and so did I . Tell me If you guys like it !!

Gold And Purple Eyeshadow look

So In this look I did a Gold on the half of the lid and the rest of the outer lid I put purple and blended a little black on the outer V. I also lined the top lash line with a  wing of course . And on the lower lash line I put the gold on the inner corner and the purple on the outer lower lash line. Lined my waterline with a regular black pencil eyeliner and that's the finished look. Super Thick Eyeliner Double Winged out Look

My Friend asked me to do her eyes for her party nite tonight And me being big on Winged out eyeliner I absolutely love it , I decided to do a thick winged out liner on her lid and then do a another wing along the lower lash line and on the lash line itself I put a subtle Blue and also on the tear duct as well. Its dramatic and just what the club scene needs !

A Sultry Neutral Look

So I decided to do my eyes before I left for work, I usually don't wear makeup at work cause I tend to get bored and play with my face, LOL... but I did a very soft Neutral look . I used the Hip Duo from Loreal in energized and mixed both colors on my lid and then I used a matte brown to do the outer V, and put some also in the crease just a little bit. Then I did a thick black eyeliner over that and put the matte brown in the half of the lower lash line and then put the neutral color on the other half . I also I did a tutorial but everything went wrong in that vid lol my mother was screaming at me and the lighting was very bad which I'm working on by the way . I uploaded the vid anyway but It didn't work, If by any chance it does upload u will see it , But please excuse the noise and the light, plus me moving around alot. I hope u guys like the look !!

Mixed Reactions......

So someone told me I look like a 5year old with my hair now . LOL .... I must admit sometimes I do, but I'm wearing this style and to tell you the truth, I love it!! So Ladies if anyone is saying or criticizing your hair style, simply think of it like this...."I'm wearing it not you!!" Come to think of it since I started my transition people on my job has actually had mixed feelings about it. Some of my colleagues say they love it, and some say things like:"O! What happened to your hair ?" One has even suggested that I cut It because I'm short and my hair is too much for me. Are you kidding me ? If and when I want to cut my hair I will, but I've had long hair my whole life and I wouldn't mind keeping it that way. I will try to find some "Big Girl Styles" but to tell the truth I think my curls are beautiful and I can't wait to see the finished results but I also do know That these things take time. So for all you Haters keep hating and all you great people out there following .. keep following cause there's more to come :)

Eco Styler Olive Oil Gel Review

So I bought the Eco Styler Gel yesterday and I tried it today when I put my hair in a bun for work . I must say I absolutely love it! It doesn't make my hair feel hard and clumpy and it also doesn't make my hair flake at all. My hair still feel soft and secure also when I brush it I'm not pulling on my hair tight at all , in the pics It may look tight but it is not at all, I'm loving the Eco Styler . This Product is definitely a keeper, I would recommend this to anyone .

Healthy Looking Lips?

Want to achieve healthy looking lips? The first step to achieving that is to ex foliate at least 2 times a week. You can do it by using sugar and extra virgin olive oil mixed together ,  or you can use a clean soft toothbrush. Just apply Vaseline on your lips and gently massage your lips with the toothbrush. Now remember , you must be gentle you don't want your lips to start bleeding .After ex foliating take a warm rag and wipe off your lip, add some moisturizer and now you should have soft chapped free healthy looking lips.

Eco Styler Olive Oil styling Gel

So I keep hearing Reviews about the Eco Styler Olive Oil styling gel , so I decided to go out and buy it today I haven't tried it yet but when I do I will do my own review on it. It's alcohol free and it doesn't flake your hair or damage it and It was super cheap it was like 4 dollars for a really big container . Can't wait to try it out . Stay Tuned  for the results !

Why The Sudden Change ??

When I was relaxing my hair , I realized that my hair was super thin and the edges of my hair was thinning so bad that I had to get a side bang to hide the left side of my  head , My aunt who has really beautiful hair had made the transition from relaxed to natural and I thought that I could never do it , cause I figured if I stopped relaxing I would have to cut off all my hair . I started to YouTube people who had decided to make the change and that gave me the inspiration  , so I didn't cut off my hair I just started to flat iron and trim my ends. Ive been treating it and then the beginning of march 2011  I decided that I want my natural wild curls to show and my hair is super super thick and wild and also very long but I must say im loving this look , I don't know how I will react to the summer time with all the humidity but I intend on keeping my hair in braids and twists to save me the embarrassment .... lol . I also work for a French airline here in New York and we must always have our hair up and I can tell u since Ive been wild my hair at work has not been the best image cause I'm trying not to pull my hair tight at all until my hair becomes healthy again . So when I arrive at work my hair is out and super beautiful and curly and when I get to work I just putt it in a very loose messy bun and when I leave I just take it out and give it a good shake . I really want my hair to be super healthy again like when I was younger .So I'm glad u guys can go through this journey with me. Any suggestions on hair styles and treatments I'm more than happy to hear .

Beauty Tip 101

Hey who thought that olive oil would be good for something other than cooking ! It's not only good for your hair.  Come to find out when u use extra virgin olive oil mixed with sugar it's a great exfoliant for ur body and face !! Try it out, everyones face is different so if ur face is really sensitive don't try it ,but if u want to see if it will work give it a try. Let me know what u think ..... U may like it !

Bantu Knots on wet Hair

This was my first Bantu Knot outs on wet hair and I wasnt pleased with the results and was forced to put it up in a pony tail however it looked nice when I finally putt it up .....

My First Braidout Since Transitioning !

Since I haven't been relaxing my hair , I was still flat ironing it , up until the beginning on March..... I was very pleased with the results :)

Transitioning from Relaxed hair to all natural !

So I'm new to this whole blogging thing and I figured y not start a blog about makeup and hair , I'm not a makeup artist or a hair stylist . however I do makeup really good , and since October 2010 I've decided to stop relaxing my hair and it's going good so far but however can't wait for the whole transition to be complete so I  can say im completely natural !!!!  Stay tuned for pics and vids on makeup and hair as well as other things !!
