What Humidity Does to my hair !!

Since It's starting to get hot outside ,

The humidity hasn't been my best friend

when it comes to my hair. My hair gets super

big and the front doesn't keep the curls as much

as the rest of my hair. I will admit I'm liking the

big hair look for now but once summer hits

I'm gonna have to find some up-do styles for

this huge mane of mines !!

My Twist Out !!

I was actually getting ready to go to work as you can see me in my uniform , but I did twists the night before and I used curlers on just the ends of my hair, seeing how the ends are still relaxed and they need some help curling up . My Transitioning Hair So Far....May 2011

So as you can see in the pics my curls are slowly coming back. I haven't combed my hair in 3days which is pretty sad but anyway , I decided to comb it out before I wash it. And to my surprise my hair stayed curly even after I combed it out . However the ends of my hair are still straight and I have a long way to go until I'm 100% natural. But I'm so hyped and excited I can't wait. So I will see you guys for the next update!!

Gothic Eyeshadow look

I did a simple gothic look , all I did was apply a black base and blended it out then I applied a black shadow all over the base, and I shaped the shadow into a wing , then I applied a tad of silver in the tearduct , then I just applied a black pencil to line my upper and lower lashline. And on the lower lashline I also put some of the black shadow to smudge out the black liner . Semi Brown Smokey Eye Look

I just used a olive brown base and then I just applied a dark matte brown Eyeshadow all over the eye, then I blended it out with of course with a skin tone color and then I applied a highlight. I lined my upper lash line with a black liquid liner and I put the matter brown all over my lower lash line and applied a black pencil liner to my water line , put on my favorite mascara and BAM !! the finished look. The Eyeshadows That I use

There are so many different brands of eye shadows out there for purchase. And every one is always talking about MAC and I would definitely love to purchase a Mac Palette one day . But for now Its not on my budget. Don't get me wrong I would love to use Mac but the budget I'm on , its not possible right now. I work to pay bills and rent and I got a major student loan that is kicking my butt right now. However There are alot of different brands of eye shadows that I do wear, for instance: Loreal hip duos, Wet+Wild, NYC, Cover Girl , Elf , Milani, Black Radiance and I also wear eye shadows from my local beauty supply store. If the colors are cute , why not get them for $2.00 or $3.00 . I can make the cheapest eye shadows pop on my eyes. So if you believe that you have to wear expensive eye-shadows to make your eyes pop, you are mistaken. Drug store makeup is just as good as Mac and Sephora and it is affordable. So let me be the first to say I love my drug store Makeup!!

BlueBerry Desert Eyeshadow look

In this look I just used a bright blue eyeshadow only on the lid and I used a matte brown eyeshadow in the crease and above the crease as well , I blended the 2 colors together and then I used my favorite pressed powder both colors actually as a highlight then I lined my top lash line with a pencil and liquid liner . As for my lower lash line I used the bright blue eyeshadow all over the lower lash line and lined my waterline with a black pencil eyeliner . TrueBeauty4life On YouTube .... ????

I have always wanted to show how I actually do my makeup especially my eyeshadows. So all of my friends said I should put some videos up on youtube since I do my makeup really good. I never wanted to do it because I've seen some comments that some people have put up and I must say some of them are not nice. and I thought " I'm not ready to deal with that just yet." So my friend told me about her blog and she was saying that you can start your own blog on anything so she inspired me to start my own blog on makeup and hair . I figured it would be a good idea also since I'm transitioning from relaxed hair to all natural and I could share my experience. However when I uploaded a video it had to be 5 or 6 minutes long for the video to actually post. That wasn't working for me cause it takes some time to actually do your makeup, so I sucked it up and opened a youtube account. I uploaded a few videos but I have no comments yet..... which I'm fine with (LOL) . So if you guys want to check out my videos, its .....truebeauty4life on youtube. Tell me what you guys think, but remember I'm not a Professional makeup artist. This is just me being creative and showing you what I can do on a everyday basis. How to Reduce Puffy Eyes

For as long as I could remember, I have always had bags under my eyes. I never had dark circles but I have these huge big puffy eyes. which I think are not attractive at all....smh. Honestly I think I would prefer the dark circles over the bags. Anyway I decided to do some research on seeing how I can get rid of them. For me I've discovered that I can never get rid of my bags, but I've found ways to reduce them. One of them is getting 8hours of sleep, which I never actually get. Another is herbal tea bags, you can put two teabags in a cup of water put it in the freezer for no more than 15minutes. Then put them over your eyes. The herbs from the tea bags will absorb under your eyes and will start to circulate that area. Which will rejuvenate your eyes. Another way to waken up your eyes is Garnier Skin Renew Anti Puff eye roller. I bought this at Walgreens for $11.00 or $12.00 and I apply this under my eyes twice a day. It works for me, Another way is to drink lots of water that is the key to everything . I don't drink lots and lots of water but I drink enough. You can also massage your under eye area with 100% vitamin E . You can try any of these to help your puffy eyes . I will also be doing a video to show you guys each of these methods. Pink and brown Eyeshadow look

I used a baby pink all over the lid and a Matte dark brown in the crease and a skin tone color to blend out the brown then I used a light color as a highlight and I lined my upper lash line with a black liquid liner and on the lower lash line I put the baby pink in the inner lower lash line and the dark brown on the rest of the outer lower lash line, lined my water line with a black pencil liner and a black matte eyeshadow to set the pencil. Lady Sings the blues Eyeshadow look

In this look I just used 2 different blues from the "I got good jeans " palette from Wet and Wild and I lined my eyes with a navy blue liquid liner and for my waterline, I lined with a navy blue pencil and to set that I used a navy blue eyeshadow over that . I hope you guys like the look !!

My Pre Poo Mix

In this video I'm just showing what I use to pre poo my hair and how I mix them all 2gether. for those of you who don't know I've made the change to go natural since October 2010 and now I'm just trying to keep my hair healthy and pre pooing is a good way to get your hair ready for shampooing cause shampoo can strip your hair of it's natural oils. Quick easy Ponytail in less than 6 minutes !!!

So in this video Im just showing you guys how to do a quick pony tail in less than 6 minutes . I was getting ready to go to the movies and I wanted to do something easy but still cute. my hair is also dirty and it is the day before I wash it so I didn't want to wear it out at all . This look is super easy and it is painless, especially since I have alot of hair , If you guys like it try it , cause it won't take any of your time but 6 minutes lol enjoy !!

How to apply Gel Eyeliner Part 1 and 2

Minty Green Look with a Hint of Chocolate

So in this look I just used a minty green color all over my lid and then I put a brown color , the same as my skin in my crease and blended out the colors. then I lined my upper lash line with a brown eyeliner instead of black and I lined my water line with a brown pencil liner and then to set that pencil liner I put a brown eyeshadow with a little sparkle over that. I lined my lower lash line with the minty green and then the finished look. I hope you guys like it!
